Surgery for Jordan went really well. We don't know the true results yet, but Dr Thayer seemed to be very happy with how it went. Jordan was a really trooper yet again. He got a little nervous when we first checked into his hospital room, so I quickly took him out and we went for his favorite dinner. Pasta at the Old Spaghetti Factory. Once he had some food into him he seemed much better and we just chilled out for the rest of the night watching movies. Jordan is such a great cuddler.
The next morning we got up and he had his bath. Then it was surgery prep time. The only thing that he complained about and I can't say that I blame him, was the Midazolam to relax him. It is GROSS! But he got most of it down, it did the job and it was off the to pre-op room from there.
Jordan was so brave. I can't really say the same for Mommy. It was a very nerve racking 2 and 1/2 hours as you can imagine.
Once Jordan woke up they called me into the recovery. I walked in and asked my baby how he was doing. He immediately looked down at the cast on his arm and gave me this VERY pissed off look. I knew right away why he was upset. The doctor had told him that this time his cast would only come to the elbow. He lied and put it up to Jordan's armpit. To Jordan this meant he couldn't ride his bike, play DS or PS2 and would just be that much hotter!! Jordan voiced his unhappiness to the doctor, but the doctor explained that he didn't feel it was set that well, so he brought it all the way up the arm. Nothing we could do now. Then the doctor lied again and told him that it would only be 3 weeks, but yet the appointment was booked for 5 weeks. Hmmm..I didn't think Jordan would notice. Silly me! He did, but in typical Jordan fashion, he brushed it off.
Jordan has managed to figure out a way of playing DS and PS2. He's always been a great problem solver. Dean and I always say we should learn from him. Very rarely will Jordan ask for help, unless it's something that he possibly can't do for himself.
So now he has 1 week left and then his cast comes off. We are all very anxious to see the results!!
